How do I remove the highlighted and double underlining on certain words on Mozilla Firefox?
  • Lately, I have been having highlighted and double underling on certain words on Mozilla Firefox. When I put my cursor, it reveals an ad for another site, though I don't click on it. Is there any way that I can eliminate this problem from Mozilla Firefox?
Can it be removed? Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.

  • It is also happening with other browsers.

Is there a way that I can get rid of these highlighted and double underlined words?

What do I have to do to turn this off?

Please let me know what I can do to eliminate this. Again, any helpful answers are appreciated. Thanks in advance very much.

  • Can you post a couple of example URLs and state which word(s) is effected, so we can have a look to see.

  • It is also doing it on this page. I really don't know how I can do that. I just need to know what it could be so I can get rid of what is causing this. Could it be a form of spyware or any adware?

I have tried clearing of cookies, but that also didn't stop it.

  • Have you run the malware scans as mentioned above?

The firefox forum definitely had some similar posts that claimed it could be due to malware in some circumstances.
